One of our NVF members, Prof. Wim Quax was appointed Knight in the Order of the Dutch Lion in spring 2020. He is currently the chair of the Department of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Biology, Faculty of Science and Engineering, University of Groningen.
His research has high implications for the pharmaceutical industry in his pursuit to make it more sustainable and “green”. The impact on society is clearly demonstrated by his research and discoveries on pharmaceutical targets against cancer and anti-microbial resistance.
