Friday April 1 st 2022, during the joint spring meeting of the Dutch Pharmacological Society (DPS/NVF) and Dutch Society for Clinical Pharmacology & Biopharmacy (NVKF&B), Dr. Jolien Freriksen, won the NVKF&B TOP-publication prize for her publication:
Assessment of Maternal and Fetal Dolutegravir Exposure by Integrating Ex Vivo Placental Perfusion Data and Physiologically-Based Pharmacokinetic Modeling.
The work was authored by Freriksen JJM, Schalkwijk S, Colbers AP, Abduljalil K, Russel FGM, Burger DM, Greupink R and was published in Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics. 2020 Jun;107(6):1352-1361.
The TOP-publication prize is awarded yearly by the Dutch Society for Clinical Pharmacology & Biopharmacy, to celebrate the best paper in clinical pharmacology published by one of her members. Dr Freriksen (department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Radboud university medical center), is a member of both DPS/NVF and NVKF&B. Typically, the paper
was commended by the Jury for its clinical relevance and the translational approach taken, in which basic and clinical pharmacological methods were successfully linked together.
